Another poor book dramatisation!

zusie2003 from from Wisbech, 20th November, 2009

If you enjoyed the book I would recommend not watching the movie as you may be dissappointed. However if you are going straight to movie then this will probably be a somewhat enjoyable experience for you.

good but the book is definitely more detailed

jenfunsize from , 20th November, 2009

I am a big fan of Dan Brown books this worked well as a film and i think that the information was easier to convey from book to film this time round whereas the Da vinci code was fast pace with not enough time to put all the details in.Worth a look but the book is probably better if i am honest!

Angels & Sweet Dreams!

Crookshanks from , 19th November, 2009

Ok so I fell asleep half way through the film but I saw enough to come to the conclusion that this film was pretty poor! I'd hoped it would have been a far superior movie to Da Vinci Code but I just felt that it was more of the same. Tom Hanks just isn't convincing as Robert Langdon, he's just too bland and his character portrayal is boring. Even those surrounding him couldn't pick up the pace of the film which, frankly, was unbelievably slow! As always I have to point out that the book is brilliant and this film does not do it any justice as it is far more engaging and explains exactly how they come to their conclusions (unlike the film) and I found it to be quite face paced, again unlike the film! Disapointing I just hope that Ron Howard passes any further Dan Brown outings onto a different director, as this style just does not suit him.

Another classic Dan Brown story. Tom Hanks once again plays Robert Langdon perfectly as he did in the Da Vinci Code. Although similar in style, both movies have different plots. Having seen both, I think Angels and Demons just wins by a nose. Very good viewing but not for the faint hearted.

Angels and Demons

I enjoyed this. Very good fantasy. Great special effects. I would watch this again. It was a little close to the story of the previous film in the series but there is not a lot that can be done that is new when the story is good against evil plot. Good twist at the end.

Dead give away

maisiesmum from from Macclesfield, 19th November, 2009

I wish film makers would stop doing this - you hire two big name actors - one the hero, the other (obviously) the villain (duh). Then you fill the rest of the cast with relative unknowns. So when the film starts and you see two names you recognise, it's pretty easy to work out which is which.

OK

I thought this movie was ok but constantly found myself comparing it to the book. And i found that i preffered the book to the screen adaptation.

Angels and Demons

I fell asleep before the middle of the film and woke up just in time to see the ending so that gives you a clue as to how entertaining I found it. Too much aimless running around and Tom Hanks seemed to find it too easy to solve the clues. Some bits just didn't seem to fit together and in some places it seems as though fairly big chunks had been cut out (and that was not just when I was asleep). Overall dissappointing which is a shame as I do like Ewan
