Forget the single player mode, this game is all about online gaming. I have notched up 50+ days since this game came out and have purchased quite a few top titles in that space of time. But not one of them lasted more than a day as I have been dragged back to cod4 due to cold turkey! If Carlesberg made video games then this would be it!

this game got me into first person shooter, i'm terrible at it yet its one of the most fun online games i've ever played. BE WARNED this game is highly addictive!

To be honest with you, it depends what sort of shooting games your interested in, whether you like a game that goes very fast motion (COD4) and has rubbish graphics compared to others or if you like games that are realistic, normal speed with AMAZING graphics (Metal Gear Solid4). Call of duty goes very fast, its too easy for those hardcore gamers, its very unclear whether your hitting the enemy or not. Your character looks like Sh*t, the maps are Sh*t, the graphics are 2/10. If you like getting easy targets, making easy kills, don't want challenges, rubbish graphics then RENTING this game is for you. If you don't and want more stealth like action, where u can personalise ur soldier, where you can hide in cardboard boxes and lay magazines for the enemy then METAL GEAR SOLID 4 IS FOR YOU! they are 2 different types but everyone that plays MGS4 for a while and COD4, they will agree that MGS4 IS SOOO MUCH BETTER!

This game is amazing. Follow the story line like your a real solider or play the online multi player side. It's great and keeps you enteratained time and time again, i havent bought any games since this one because its the only one i want to play. Can't wait for for Modern Warefare 2.

didn't live up to the hype

from what others are saying this is the greatest game ever. I don't think so. It is ggod, but in single player it falls short, took less than a day to do. Now i know that multiplayer is great but i want a single player challenge, it's not as exciting as i had hoped for and while it looked great it didn't play brilliantly, some parts are too tricky and some too simple. There are better games out there, don't believe the hype.

Ok i rented this game because my mates said it was realy good and usaly i dont agree with them, and as normal i didn't agree with them because this game is AMAZING!!!!!! the graphics are great, the storyline is very good and online is supposed to be brilliant but i dont have online on my ps3 so i dont know that for myself. personaly i'd rent the game if you dont have online because you can complete the game in 2/3 hours on recruit. 9/10

COD 4 is one of the best games I have ever played in my life. I would recommend this to any one who likes to play these sort of games and to people who have never tried them.

Great game play and controls. My only criticism is the story was really short. I completed the game in one day. Ok it was on the easy setting, but I think it took me 10 hours and i was done. I can only remember dieing in it maybe 15 - 20 times and that was mainly due to me not concentrating! I have to admit i didnt try the multiplayer online which I believe is quite good too.
