Young Victoria

I really enjoyed this fim. Great performance from Emily Blunt as Victoria and Rupert Friend was a very believable Prince Albert. It filled in a lot of gaps in what was quite a poignant story.

Young Victoria

A Customer from Washington, 31st October, 2009

A fascinating view of what is a much less well known era of the young Victoria's life. Her childhood (briefly) and then focusing upon her accession to the throne, those who influenced her and her love for and marriage to Prince Albert. Lavish in scenery, location and detail, this superbly acted movie, especially young Victoria (Emily Blunt), is a delight to watch. I was left wanting more, wishing that her whole life had been so cleverly portrayed. An interesting view of what the young Victoria faced and how her strength of character was formed. Thoroughly recommended...

Good performances

I thought the film was a bit slow, but had a good storyline. The Young Victoria is portrayed by Emily Blunt really well and she gives a good performance. The film depicts the young Queen Victoria in a very positive light showing her to be innocent yet ambitious and intelligent. I found this film interesting to watch but only wished that the pace had been moved up a notch or two.

Excellent film, with a great insight to the longest reining Queen in history. A true love story run through the whole film.
