Compulsion Review

malcy1 from from Warwick, 31st October, 2009

We really enjoyed this film. Couple of very subtle twists and realistic plot plus above average acting made this a definite must watch. Add to your list!

Unpleasant characters

Sambi from , 6th October, 2009

This film is poulated by all characters being unpleasant in one way or another. The only character with whom one may fell sympathy with is Ray Winstone's if one overlooks some of his actions. It is a bleak view of atraction, love, wealth and family duties and expectations. Parminder Nagra is way too old for the p[art she plays and her boyfriend is too young and insipid. Still it is a bit different and therefore that is good to see.

Loved this ! Ray Winstone always very watchable. Story line was interesting and wasnt obvious as to what was going to happen. Enjoyed all of it. No negatives.

Excellent

A Customer from Livingston, 21st July, 2009

The film started off well but the twist in the film i did not expect. Ray Winstone is a total creep in it but you cant help feel sorry for him too. Would highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this movie, partly because it was quirky and the performances were really quite compelling. Not a block buster, but well worth the running time.

Stereotypes and bad writing!

A Customer from Coventry, 12th May, 2009

I watched with eagerness when I realised Ray Winstone appeared ... but was so disappointed. Ray Winstone was certainly there in body but not soul... maybe it looked better on the page than the screen. It left me once again shouting at the screen that I could write better than this! Maybe I should put pen to paper now and stop more of this twaddle! The characters were cartoonish stereotypes, the main actress was terrible and Winstone was totally wasted. Also the ending was ridiculous .... really!

Compelling

A Customer from Watford, 7th May, 2009

Found Don Flowers to be a very interesting character and to have a young woman coming back to him for more. A tragic drama which leads to murder and an ending which could not end any other way.
