This was a good rent, though something I would have felt embarrassed if I'd bought it. Real gritty action and effects. But nothing compared to the nasty one liners and some completely terrible acting.

This is no where near as good as 'The Punisher', this is a VERY DISSAPPOINTING FILM. The fighting scenes are absolutly POO, as soon as the bad guy gets hit you can see that its a dummy. Your better off spending your time having a Sh1t.

This punisher i was abit weary after i found out thomas jane wasnt the punisher but this new one is just as good. The violence is amazing. The only let down i have to say is Jigsaw wasnt as featured as bad guy as john travolta was in the first but he would be great if he survived this an came back for another round! This is one film i am gonna buy now after seeing this.

This is the reason I hate most comic book films. Everything I hate about them can be found here. It was just horrible. The set design, the awful accents, the terrible unrealistic overblown action scenes that wren't even nice to look at. The awful villains who were too comic book cut-out and just don't work in film. I thought Thomas Jane in Punisher was pretty bad but that film looks like a masterpiece compared to this.

What an awful film!!. The first Punisher film with Thomas Jane and Travolta in was fine ,but this is just awful.What quality actors such as Dominic (The Wire) West and Colin Salmon were doing in it is beyond me,and as for Ray Stevenson,another brit,he looks familiar,I think he used to be in The Bill or something like that- that should give a good impression of what to expect from this film. Ignore this film as it is total sh@t!

Didn't think much of the original Punisher? Then don't rent this one. I did like the first one and was disappointed with this one. The Punisher looks like he's escaped from the film Dark City and fails somewhat in his effort to go for the 'less is more' approach to acting. The story is OK and the cast play it straight - except for the villain who Dominic West plays like a baddie from Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy! Even if you don't get the reference, trust me, he's acting in a different sort of movie altogether. The tiny DVD extra that refers to the colour palette of the film just shows how amateurish it all is - lots of colour coding isn't clever and conveys nothing to an audience if it is done as baldly as this. It just made me a little queasy. Poor film making. Can you imagine the producers sitting around worrying that 'The Punisher' doesn't sound sufficiently macho - let's add the word Warzone to it, then it'll be really full of Testosterone. Hmm. If you're 12 years old. Otherwise watch the first one and stop there.

Out of the first three films i rented today! i have to say this one is the worst! i actually didnt realise the punisher was old? the first punisher i ever watched was the remake of the first one. and i didnt realise there were old ones of them. I do hope they re-make the second one though with jigsaw. and make it a fun filled packed action one! i have to say this was boring! im going to watch the little vampire again , this film never bores me no matter how many times i watch it. but this film put me to sleep!

Isuppose girls have 'chick-flicks' and boys have these. It's pure hookam and if you dont take it seriously its quite amusing. It's all tongue in cheek and is what is says on the tin - comic book fun, no more no less.
