Dull but Slippery Bloodfest
Rip from Manchester, 7th August, 2009
Read the film summary above because that's about it really. A few buckets of 'blood' spread around a train. No depth, just effects and fake gore. What a waste of Vinnie Jones.

Step away from the meat

Based on Clive Barker's classic short story, the film is about photographer Leon (Bradley Cooper), who wants to capture on film the 'true' New York City. He is given a lucky break by his best friend when he is introduced with a legendary art dealer (Brooke Shields), and accepts her advice to explore individual places more closely, in hopes of finding the image that impresses her and gets him a break in the art world. He ends up encountering strange doings during late-night subway rides, and becomes obsessed with a silent, severe butcher (Vinnie Jones) who bludgeons passengers to death on a regular basis. The movie works mainly because of its director. Ryuhei Kitamura might be the best visual stylist working in the horror genre. The scenes of suspense, intrigue, and horror are all inventively shot, while never distracting from what's actually going on. Jeff Buhler's script has quality dialog, good pacing, and is generally efficient. The greatest weakness of the film is its lead actor. Cooper lacks the charisma and intensity necessary to involve the audience fully in Leon's descent into the underworld. Vinnie is quite convincing and demonstrates his usual Glasgow kiss. Definitely one of the better films I've seen him. Good entertainment

Pathetic saw creep gore ripoff
A Customer from Rochdale, 14th March, 2009
The plot has more hole than a second hand dart board. the only thing that kept us watching was that we like old Vinnie, I'm sure the idea of films is that you are eant to like the herroin or hero of a film however from about 15 min in I wanted this f#ck wit of a lead to be hurt in a lot of ways. The story is as loose as they get and in general the anamatronics of it all suck but its a fair film sad to say a total pile of crap but still worth a watch. The story is lame with no real glue to stick it together and no real interest to maintain your attention. again Vinie is the only one I routed for in grave hope he would kill the medling freak photographer in more than one way! but all in all an enjoyable romp into the gore of trains ! again! this in Creep meets saw meets living dead. pointless useless but still charming in a crap way. do not buy this, but maybe watch it!

Well im a big fan of gore and punishment .....so this film was right up my street although the storyline or main plot wasnt completely clear until late in the movie. This could have been played on more throguhout but obviously the writers wanted to keep it mysterious but overall quite a good film, fortunately vinnie didnt have much dialogue lol but i enjoyed the cruelty

As with Jason Stratham you know what sort of film it will be, just as you do with any Vinnie Jones film. He is moody, silent, mean and a right barsteward and ofcourse the baddie. If your aware of this then what happens in the film is no real surprise. He plays a butcher that funny enough butchers people, i bet the writer and the director had a field day on that one. I haven't read the short story from Clive Barker that this is based on so couldn't tell you if it's as good. Clive is a producer so I'm sure he is quite happy with the film. For all you cameo spotters out there, look out for Ted Raimi.
Worth a look

Perfect role for Vinnie Jones as it just plays on his menacing appearance and he says one word over the entire film. For me the level and detail of the brutal violence is just a bit too much and can be considered tasteless. So parents may actually want to pay attention to the 18 rating on this one. It is very very gory and violent. No major plot to talk about, but it is pretty gripping to follow.

Midnight Massacre
Monkeymanbob from , 5th June, 2009
It's been to long since I've seen a movie that provided me with shocks and suspense. Bradley Cooper plays urban photographer Leon, who is looking shocking and explicit pictures that portray the city in all it's filithy glory. A chance photo oppurtunity however leads him down a dangerous path against a relentless killer. Clive Barker returns, after what seems an absolute age, and along with the director & screen writer, delivers the first decent horror film of the last 18 months - this is scary, this is tense. If you want horror, then rent this and throw crap like the Prom Night remake in the trash.
A MEATY HORROR FILM
GRASSER from from Stockport, 30th April, 2009
I rented this title on BluRay, but may as well have seen it on normal DVD. The film is shot in 'washed-out' colours and slightly grainy, so I couldn't really tell it was an HD quality movie! However, it was enjoyable with plenty of gore, and Vinnie looking menacing! Don't know how Vinnie managed to remember all his words!! Would have given it an extra star if the picture quality had been better. GED
