Watch out - it's a documentary!

SteveC24 from from West Kent, 8th June, 2009

Admittedly, now I see the title etc. quite clearly states this DVD is a documentary - but I obviously missed that when I added it to my list. It follows a group of elderly (but very spritely) people as they sing 'unconventional' tunes! The members of the group are likeable in the main, but the director of the group left me feeling nothing but hatred for him!!! A weird documentary, which I'm surprised made it to DVD... I wouldn't recommend, but then, you know your own taste!!!

False teeth and rock'n roll

Gilles from , 11th June, 2009

This is just a brilliant piece of documentary. You can find anything: laugh, death, rock, sadness, happyness, high spirit,etc...On this strange combination of elderly people singing rock music, this documentary hit everything about life. All true. Nothing being faked, except the teeth.

Be inspired...

A Customer from Ashburton, England, 13th November, 2009

Now that I've finished wiping away the tears... I'm not really sure whether to laugh or cry or both... The film left me feeling moved, uplifted, inspired... Mainly it left me wishing I had more 'old' people in my life. I hope this is what my future might entail and I wish films like this were shown on prime time tv to remind us all of what is possible in terms of ageing and in terms of just LIVING life to the full and touching each other's lives.

True Spirit

Pearliegirliestar from , 2nd October, 2009

I was a bit unsure at first despite some good reviews, but I can say I thought this was a wonderfully touching film which I warmed to. My partner says it is a movie men are also allowed to cry at, after I looked over to see him sniffling half way through. What an amazing bunch of people, they all probably irritate the Hell out of someone they know being old and stubborn and all, but they are all wonderfully spirited and determined and I admired them. For the record I thought the director was brilliant, and very patient under the circumstances :-)

insight into old age

Excellent concept and fairly good treatment but a bit on the long side. Nothing a bit of editing wouldn't sort out though.
