NOT AS GOOD AS I HOPED.

Well with good actors and a good director i had hoped for high things however i was a little disapointed. The end was the bet bit.
I like this film....

Kate Winslet, whether you like her or not, is a genius! If given the choice of watching this or The Reader, i'd go for The Reader evry single time. That said this film is a must watch for most people. It is one of those films where not a lot happens and yet is gripping for the entire two hours it is showing, much like The Station Agent (very good film if you're interested). The plot if feel, because it is kept simple, does not require a lot of thought to enjoy it but you could look so much deeper, and i imagine will be on the syllabus for film students in years to come.
Depressing well made movie

Very well filmed & acted movie, but at no point does it make you feel happy.
Rev. Road

What a good yarn! I had high expectations for this film. Kate and Leo reunited again, Kate being one of my top 5 favourite actresses, and good reviews when it was first released. The pace was slow, but every scene was interesting, kept alive by the fantastic acting. As the film went on it became more strange and twisted. The tension and suspense grew, and Winslet and DiCaprio really came into their own as the pace picked up and story got really compelling. What was going to happen? it was like i was holding my breath, my imagination was running wild. For me, the acting was sublime, and as I watched it with my parents, they understood the 'supressed housewife in suburbia' scenario from their own parents generation. For those that like what I call 'deep and meaningful' films, and for winslet fans this one is a must!
REVOLUTIONARY ROAD

TURNED IT OFF, THIS FILM SHOULD WIN AWARDS FOR THE WORST & MOST BORING FILM OF THIS CENTURY. BORING
An embarrassment of dullness!
BigMeUp from , 16th November, 2009
Twenty minutes into this film, one discovers that one does not give fig for any character in this movie - not even the bit players. Ten minutes after that, one finds oneself tracing patterns in the carpet, watching passers-by through the window and sending mundane texts to people who'd probably rather not receive them: in short, doing anything but following the monotony on the screen. At that point, if one is like me, one switches off this cack. This film does not entertain or inform. I cannot imagine why it was made.
Mr Dull meets Mrs Drab
Whipster from from Shropshire, 16th November, 2009
Stellar cast can't raise this above average. A boring premise - Mr and Mrs Hometown American Average, who are both bored with their lot - means that the whole storyline is without any excitement whatsoever - even their infidelities fill them with dissatisfaction! So we're left with a drab unfolding of their bland lifestyle. The acting is of the highest standard but so what...as a movie it ain't interesting and it ain't enjoyable! The one saving grace is the stunning soundtrack by Thomas Newman. 3 stars - mainly because of the OST!
A future classic

Winslet’s best role by a long shot. Complex. Deep. Allegorical and character driven all at once. A rare modern film, one to watch again.
Good idea poorly executed

Thought the premise of this film was good but found Kate Winslet's acting overdone and unconvincing. Leonardo DiCapricio was better but the film just never seemed gel.
