No More Heroes tells the story of Travis Touchdown, an animé fan who lives in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. After an unexpected turn of events, Travis finds himself being approached by the head hunter of an assassins' organisation. Travis is challenged to prove himself worthy by defeating ten other bloodthirsty killers - all with deep stories of their own - to make his way to the top of the assassins' league.

No More Heroes realises the dream of Wii players everywhere as they can wield the Wii Remote to swing the beam katana and perform spectacular wrestling moves. Suda 51's creation features avant-garde graphics which will thrust players into a stylised world filled with edgier gameplay. Taking its lead from the silver screen, the storyline is riddled with laugh-out-loud violence, black humour and irony-filled dialogue. No More Heroes is a multi-sense video game experience: dark, engaging and pure entertainment!

Chaos

Fantastic game, best wii game this year so far. (Not counting SSBB of course) Simply pure action and mayhem, definitely fun.

PURE CLASS!

TGP from , 15th April, 2008

WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE ON, IT'S SIMPLE AND SOMEWHAT ADDICTIVE, THE MINI GAMES ARE FUN BUT TO SHORT, THE CONCEPT IS SIMPLE, THE FIGHTING IS SWEET AND SIMPLE AND THE BOSSES CAN BE HARD, DEFINATELY RECOMMENDED

Mindless repetition

A Customer from Bridgend, 29th March, 2008

As you can no doubt tell from my title I was not overly impressed with this game. Although It was interesting in terms of graphics I found the game play repetitive and the use of the wii-mote limited.

Dull Dull Dull…

A Customer from East Yorkshire, 2nd February, 2010

This game does not take advantage of the Wii remote very much, would have been better made on the Xbox or Playstation. Playing is boring, It has a GTA style free roaming section, but its pointless. During free roam all the attack controls are turned off, there is nothing to do and nowhere to go. The fighting part uses a Light sabre style weapon which could of been great for the Wii remote, unfortunately instead of fighting with Wii movement sensor you have to press the A button almost like you where on a Playstation. This game should have never been released on Wii as its clear the writers either don’t understand what makes the Wii the best selling console or they had Playstation or Xbox in mind when writing it.

ok, but sadly lacking depth!

iamjack82 from , 29th April, 2009

i want to start off by saying i enjoyed this game and it is a positive step for adult wii users although the game is sadly lacking any real depth!!! the map areas of the game try to emulate the sand box style of play made famous by GTA but unlike this genre classic no more heroes fails to live up to the hype, the control system is awkward and it is especially apparent after playing sega's mad world which appear to handle like a dream compared to this archaic system

Get Red Steel Instead

WRIGHJT from , 19th March, 2009

Having just played (and really enjoyed) Red Steel, this was really disappointing. It talks about retro graphics as being a feature, but it just makes it look old & tired. The controls were also confusing and sometimes poor to respond. Get Red Steel, not this.

great

mookstar from , 1st March, 2009

This is a fantastic game if you can get over the blocky, slightly crap grafics. However, the game play is great, a really good learning curve and a the who theme of the game is a lot driffrent than the usual stuff you play. As i rented this game i would not buy it, but i would of liked to buy it if i didnt rent it first, if you know what i mean. there are loads of diffrents things to try out which would keep you occupied for months. its a really good game. causion tho, do not let the kidies watch it, i made that mistake when i first played it and some of the languadge is not appropriate. great game tho, i will be buying 'No more Hreos's 2' as they will have sorted out the bugs and added alot more. great game mookstar*
