You can't go wrong with dialogs from Neil Gainman and beautiful CGI. Action packed and a great story, it keeps you in awe throughout.

Uncanny Valley

Akira from from Birmingham, 18th March, 2008

While i felt the film itself was rather good the cgi spoilt it for me. The characters lack emotion and it all feels extremley fake. I know people are praising the film for its graphics but i'm sure they have not seen Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within another cgi film which featured much more realistic graphics and is a film from 2001. Prehaps i am being a little harsh though if you can look past the graphics there is enjoyment to be found here. Beowulf is an epic tale of heroes and monsters and anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre will enjoy this fillm. I do feel the film would have benifited more from giving the wonderful Angelina Jolie a bit more screen time as her character is fascinating but this is not her tale, but still who dosen't want to see Jolie?

Dreadful

A Customer from Yeovil, 6th February, 2010

I saw the actors listed and thought I would get a film with real actors. Instead you get ,not a film, not even a cartoon, but something that looks like a computer game, which is bad enough but to add insult, the graphics are 'wooden' and bland. The storyline was dull, dull, dull with ample doses of tedium. This is the worst 'film' that I have seen for a long, long time

SUPERB!

Mooncat from , 10th December, 2009

I wish they made more movies like this, the possibilities are endless! With the quality of blu-ray the detail of the computer generated scenes is excellent. The movies main characters even look like their voice over counterparts (Ray Winston and Anthony Hopkins) which adds to the realism. I found the story enthralling and the action scenes exciting. The battles with Grendal are fantastic! Some people may find the voice of Beowulf by a london accented actor off putting, personally I liked it. 'I`m ere to kill your monstah' Ray Winston as Beowulf, very amusing!

Beowulf

Excellent cast of voices. They would have been better doing the film without the CGI. Ray Winston London accent spoils the viking image and just doesn't work

This animated movie had a lot to live up to with all the other films in this catagory around and it does live up to competitors standard. Excellent story and amazing graphics and special effects. Good for adults and children
