Wild Child tells the comic story of sixteen year old Poppy (Emma Roberts), a rebellious American teenager who, after numerous warnings by her father (Aidan Quinn), is sent to a strict all-girls boarding school in the U.K. in an attempt to straighten out her behaviour. Under the watchful eye of the school's headmistress (Natasha Richardson) and surrounded by a new circle of friends, Poppy begrudgingly realizes her bad-girl behavior will only get her so far. But just because she must grow into a fine young lady doesn't mean this Wild Child won't be spending every waking hour shaking up a very proper system...

Wild Child

This is an excellent film and was enjoyed by all the family, in fact we liked it better than St. trinians. A really good film. Loved the way the snooty head girl got her come- uppance at the end. Lovely story line and a great turn-a-round for the wild child with a great example being portrayed.

A funny chick flick. Very similar story plot to 'St Trinians' however, this movie is much better.

Teen rebel

A Customer from London, 18th January, 2009

This was clearly not aimed at me, but I enjoyed it all the same. I watched it on a cold Saturday afternoon. It kept me amused and was a good hangover film. Teenage girls will love it, but be mindful of the 12 rating if you were thinking of showing it to younger kids. There is a sequence, which is a take on the beginning of 'Four weddings and a funeral', replacing the repeated swear word with s**t, and there are quite a few references to whether they have 'done it' or not. It really is aimed at the age it's rated at. That said, girls will love it because she is such a rebel. She is an appalling character at the beginning, and predictably she learns about herself as the film rolls on, but it's in no way sugary. Yes she will make you cringe as a parent, but the messages by the end of the film are spot on: friends are important, don't behave like a brat, you love your family more than you think you do. The cast are pretty good, and there are some great performances from the young actresses. A lot of the action is unlikely, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a great film that will make you wish you went to boarding school.

I loved this movie, it is funny and has a good storyline. It is a realy chick flick feel good film and one I would watch again and again. In the similar spirit to legally blond, it has a satisfactory and triumphant ending. Sharp and witty.
