for childcarers eveywhere

A Customer from Suffolk, England, 26th October, 2007

i work with children in a nursery so i thought this film would be very good as it is within my interests. As it happens this film really touched my heart as this young girl went to work as a nanny for this family, not having any childcare experience. And while at 1st the child is a horror to look after, they grow to love each other and the girl begins to see how this child doesn't have any time with his parents and this nanny is the only person he can look up to. Although the girl hates the job, being a slave for the parents 24/7, she has fallen not only for the child but their neighbour, and dating is forbidden, what is she to do?! you will have 2 watch the film to find out!

Is Scarlett trying to kill her career

mica from , 4th March, 2008

The Nanny diaries was awful. I was expecting something like 'The devil wears prada' but all i got was a bland film with little substance and poor acting from Scarlett. I was so bored i started to fast forward 15 minutes in. I couldn't and wouldn't recommend this film to anyone, it is pointless and uneventful. The best thing about it was Chris Evans who was probably the best thing about 'Fantastic four'.

Dull Diaries

A Customer from Oldham, 25th November, 2007

I have an eclectic taste in films and will watch almost anything - unfortunately this one did not keep my interest. If you work with children, or your life is preoccupied with them then you will enjoy this film. To be fair the acting was good, but the whole Nanny storyline for me was dull. I gave this 1 star only because it had some well known faces.

A truly poor film

essexdan from from Woking, 3rd November, 2009

I had high hopes after seeing Scarlett Johansson's previous films. However this film was truly dreadful, the so called social aspect of the film merely reinforced all cultural sterotypes we have. The acting was poor from all, and I actually willed the main character to fail, but hey ho she learnt an important lesson. At least the locations were truly beautiful, (well you have to look for a postive I suppose.)
