Radio Times

Following on from Amityville: It?s About Time, this relocates the action to the city with the portal of evil being a mirror rather than a clock this time around. Ross Partridge is the artist who inherits the evil antique from a sinister street bum. Inevitably, it sparks off a series of mysterious slayings in his apartment block. Predictable stuff but genre fans will appreciate the appearances of David (An American Werewolf in London) Naughton and Terry (The Stepfather) O?Quinn.

It's not really Amityville - Which is great!

Marc138 from Carmarthenshire, 23rd July, 2004

I've now watched all the Amityville movies except Dollhouse, and frankly I tried to sleep through them - some of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The New Generation is completely different. It's not even similar to the older movies. It's modernised with decent direction and production. The characters are believable and the plot twists are pretty good. The only reason this is called Amityville is some visuals of the house and reappearance of an old character.

I would recommend this to any horror fan. I really can't understand why its had such a poor rating. Maybe it's bad by association?

This is the worst movie I have watched (or nearly watched) in a very long time. The lead man is terrible and the whole plot is really really poor.

AWFUL film

A Customer from Catford, 29th November, 2008

This film is dated, boring, and not one bit scary! Replacing the old spooky house you associate with Amityville with a modern apartment building just doesn't work either! I wish I could give it minus points. Just do not rent this film!!!!

not bad!

A Customer from new milton, 21st June, 2005

If you have seen the others, this wioll make you feel the same. The house still goves you the creeps and you know what to expect, but it is great to see yet another family taken in my the charms of this evil house. A great horror for the amityville followers!
