Brilliant!

Freaks and Geeks is one of the funniest american tv series I have ever seen. It is about two seperate groups of school kids who go to a school called Mckinley High. One of the groups is higher in the school and one lower. Each containing a brother (John Francis Daley) and his sister (Linda Cardellini) who are the main characters of the series but they do not take over at all. In the elder group who consist of Daniel Desario (James Franco), the leader of the group in some respects, who is going out with Kim Kelly (Busy Phillips) who is a rough, rude and her family is an absolute wreck. I will not go on but this group are basically anti-social, over confident rebels. This is the group Lindsey wier ,the sister, is trying to get with because she feels her current nerdish, mathlete life is not for her. On the other hand there is the nerd group. Sam wier, lindseys little brother, Neal Schweiber (Samm Levine) and Bill Haverchuck (Martin Starr). Sam wier is very self-conscious about his apearence and seems to get into ebarresing situations. Neal is a comedy genius, he is basically a 40 year old nerd in a 14 year old body. Last of all Bill is the most nerdy one of the three by his apearence, voice tone and the things he says. Freaks and Geeks is extremely hillarious and definately a must see. You go through all the stages of when you were a teenager. It brings you right back to when you were at school. It is totally under rated. You will want to watch over and over again. Outstanding!

One of the best shows ever

Instead of focusing on the popular kids in school, Freaks and Geeks focuses on two seperate 'outsider' groups. Lindsay Weir is one of the smartest students at McKinley High but after the death of her grandfather she turns towards the 'freaks' of the school. Her younger brother, Sam, is starting his first year at high school and along with his two friends makes up the 'geeks'. Freaks and Geeks is one of my all time favourite shows, it's incredibly realistic and doesn't try to show the glamourous life of school at all. It's honest and refreshing and almost everyone can relate because the kids go through normal problems. If this is ever released on region 2 DVD I would recommend it to anyone. Especially those who like Judd Apatow's other works.

The best High School comedy drama ever. If you left school in the late 70's early 80's you will particularly love this series, but would recommend to anyone who loves good TV.
