"Kaw" blimey! It's "The Birds"!!

wikkidsmyle from , 21st November, 2009

Essentially, 'Kaw' is an update of the classic 1963 Hitchcock film 'The Birds'; it even stars Rod Taylor (albeit in a minor role). Unfortunately, that's where the comparison ends, for whilst 'Kaw' has slightly better bird effects, the story has little suspense and there's no sense of terror or indeed action. The reasoning for the birds going mental is good, but some of the set pieces aren't (and are just silly). Better to avoid this and just rent 'The Birds' instead...

One For The Birds........

drunkenmaster from , 28th October, 2007

Really dreadful horror film that tries to re create the thrills of Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds' and fails due to lack of character and charm. The story of Ravens attacking a small American community if more laughable than shocking. Poor effects and a really dumb reason for the attacks doesn't help much either. The strange thing is that Rod Taylor, star of 'The Birds' actually appears as a doctor in this film. I would love to know his thoughts on the final result.
