At least I don't have to turn this one over.

I have liked this film since it was first released, but I had one of those Dual DVD players and instead of turning over I put the side one of one I purchased in one tray and the 2nd I purchased in the second tray. When it came to the switch over I switched DVD's rather than having to get up. Lazy, I, know but as it was such a good film I didn't want to miss a second. This time they have crammed it all on one side of Blu-Ray disk, even if it does take up some 38GB of it I do believe. About the only actress who was not new to me at the time was Dina Meyer 'DragonHeart' and Actor's Michael Ironside as well as Jake Busey. Jake Busey, son of Gary, was famous for his role in Contact. SCIFI with Michael Ironside goes as far as Total Recall. The film is explicit in its nature and though gorey in other I would not classify the nude scenes as obscene or even PG rated. Sex doesn't really come into the films scope and that is why it is treated so casually. The film has its extremes from good to gruesome in a matter of seconds and thus this is why it gets its certification. This is a good time for those who missed it the first time round to actually find out what it is truly about because you would most probably be old enough and secondly its is a good action SCIFI movie. Though the film still inherits its wide screen aspect ratio It has had some improvements to its treatment. The Digital effects by Sony and ILM have been better contrasted and are more colourful, the external scenes as well as the internal ones have been better contrasted and colured with a better saturation pattern. I cannot help but think that this would be better in Imax, but Blu-Ray will do. A good 4 star movie. I have not really heightenned the appearences of some newcomers in the movie because Denise Richards didn't really feature. I believe this was just used as a platform for her and nothing more. I have only seen Casper Van Dein in one Box Office film since then(Sleepy Hollow), a few B movie appearences but nothing of consequence. A film that stands on its own. Starship Troopers 2 was a flop and deservedly so.
