80s straight-to-video alert

MikeJ888 from , 25th June, 2009

Don't let the 2004 release and the presence of Kevin McKidd fool you, I am convinced this was in fact made in the early 80s after the makers watched a video of 'The Warriors' round at a mates house one Friday. With its gratuitous neon, garish lighting, shoddy slo-mo and synth score it was destined straight-to-video then onto the ex-(unrented) rentals shelf. But, inadvertantly it was sucked through a wormhole into our undeserving present. But I implore you, though there are worse horrors in the world of DVD, please leave the past where it belongs. It's an hour fifteen that you'll never ever have again and you can spend it more wisely than this!

This film was so bad I didn't know whether to laugh or cry the film

A Customer from West Yorkshire, 31st May, 2009

Whilst I am used to watching 'arty', sometimes tedious films this one certainly got the better of me and I had to switch it off after half an hour. The acting was very poor, the background music was totally inappropriate to the scenes it was used in (provoking laughter, which I'm sure wasn't intended) and the dialogue was embarrassing, stilted and cliched. The most annoying thing was the use of arty effects and camera tricks seemingly for the sake of it which rarely added to the film and became irritating. I did quite like some of the sets and there were a few moments that were atmospheric but these were fleeting and it wasn't enough to give me any reason to watch the rest of the film. I was dissapointed as I quite liked Richard Jobson's previous film 16 Years of Alcohol which although it wasn't fantastic was watchable.

Nil Stars.... Please Give Us The Option.

Ian Davies from Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, 20th June, 2007

Words cannot express just how bad this film really is. It is not even worth watching for the giggles it gives. If this is meant to be a srious attempt to make a British martial arts film, someone has mis judged things very badly. An insult to the genre and the viewer.
