Good film, left me confused

A Customer from Milton Keynes, 14th June, 2007

I watched this film, not remembering anything about what I had read of it previously, so I thought it was going to be your basic married man has an affair plot, but I was wrong. An interesting film, that holds you throughout. It has a nice twist at the end but I have to say the very final scences did leave me a little confused, and the alternate ending did not help either. Whilst I would not watch this film again, as it would not be the same now I know 'why' I would recommend it to others.

Sarandon's always irresistible

A Customer from Leeds, West Yorkshire, 19th June, 2007

On the surface this film suggests a run of the mill 'wife knows something is up but nobody will believe her' plot but this belies a more serious subject matter that is handled in quite an interesting, low key way. However, I think if it had been anybody but Sarandon playing the lead in this film it could have taken a big nose dive. There are some interesting little 'getting to know you' scenes between the two females in the film that, until the end of the film, you don't see the full meaning of - can't say anymore or it would ruin the twist! Once the real story is revealed the profundity of the issue is quite sad and disturbing.

An OK suspense film

A Customer from Hertfordshire England, 12th July, 2007

I would class this film in the same catergory as The hand that rocks the cradle etc. I liked the fact that you didnt have to watch it for 30 mins before things started happening it starts straight away. Nothing challenging, easy watching ,as I have stated an ok film

Very Reasonable

PaulaWestwood from , 3rd September, 2007

After the first 15 minutes we weren't that convinced, but then the story started getting more and more interesting and intriguing. It is hardly a pacey film, but it certainly has a good few twists to keep it going along nicely enough. Definately a decent evenings viewing, and well worth the rental.

Good

i liked this one - although I did guess the ending about half hour before the end - so a little predictable but a good plot and a nice film to chill out to

ok

Emily Blunt was good and the story was about a wife who thinks that her husband is having an affair followed by thinking the mistress is trying to get her. Then there is a twist at the end and without that it would just be a normal paranoid wife film, but its ended up being quite a good film, with a few scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat

A lightly poached bunny

Scrumpygirl from , 23rd September, 2009

Suzanne Sarandon can usually do no wrong but she unfortunately floundered in this rather unbelievable plot which started, like so many films, to be interesting and then fizzled out like a substandard firework. Emily Blunt is good as a young bunny boiler but struggles with this film's very messy and confused ending.

Good twist, but a long time coming...

JaneyJane from , 18th August, 2009

This film seemed very repetitive - the same sequence over and over when showing Sophie's paranoia - felt like shouting at the screen 'ok, I get it...moving along'! It really could have been shortened...but good performances by Emily Blunt and Susan Sarandon, who made the most of a droll plotline for 80% of the film.
