Eddie Murphy at his very best!!!!!
Ian Ritchie from Aberdeen, 8th September, 2004
This is most definitely laugh a minute, and is stand up at its very best!!!Not full of American or time-dated jokes, like a number of other comedy sets from its time, Eddie Murphy gives this timeless hilarity, and makes us wonder why he gave up stand up, especially after corkers like 'Pluto Nash' and 'Bowfinger'.This has actually got to be in my top five comedy routines EVER, which holds him in high regard, with Billy Connolly just pipping him to the top, and Lee Evans getting close!!Theres not much I can say about this show, other than WATCH IT!!! You will be glad you did!

It's just offensive
Alexander from London, 22nd August, 2007
I'm not boring, actually far from it, but this DVD is just offensive in the extreme. Ok It's the 80's and hey it's cool to mock gay men with aids - of course they are the only ones who can get it, as long as you're cool talking about screwing and pu**y and being cool and how hot you are in your terrible red leather suit. Please don't rent this. it's not funny.
gut busting

Poor-mans's Richard Pryor and badly dated
sp4ngle from from Chester, 21st April, 2007
As school kids we used to watch this at the end of house parties and laugh ourselves senseless. 20 years on, and I didn't raise a smile. Having watched a lot of other stand-up routines in the intervening time, I can see where he got a lot of his 'inspiration' (*cough* RIchard Pryor *cough*), and Eddie doesn't really bring anything extra. Very disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing this again.

I first wached this 16 years ago and it is still my most favourite comedy ever. Most comedians know there's a line to not cross. Eddie Murphy just runs and vaults that line and it doesn't matter to most coz he's extrmely HILARIOUS!!! Watch this and prepare to wet yourself with laughter.
pure brilliance!!!

These were the golden days where the political correctness brigade were pushed aside so genius comedies such as MIND YOUR LANGUAGE, RISING DAMP would be allowed to be made and be enjoyed by viewers who CHOSE to watch them rather than idiots who complained never thinking just to turn the channel over. Now it's a big brother country where we are told what to watch thanks to the waste of space do-gooders. DELIRIOUS has never dated, it's so funny it'll make your ribs hurt (and i usually hate stand-up acts because the're not funny at all), but this is genius!!! The main difference between Eddie and other stand-up's is that he is an excellent impressionist, even my black and asian friends just could'nt stop laughing!!! RENT THIS!!! and enjoy what the good old days were where you could watch whatever you wanted and not what your told to. (it's usually the politacal correct brigade that do all the complaining anyway and not the typical joe wether they are white, black or gay).
