Radio Times

Some of the locations may be European, but this is as traditional a Bollywood masala as you could wish for. Shahrukh Khan and Kajol star as Londoners who fall in love during a month's vacation on the continent, but standing in the way of their happiness is an arranged marriage. With his father (acclaimed director Yash Chopra) acting as producer, Aditya Chopra could hardly go wrong with this debut outing. It's lively, amusing and packed with mischievous contrivance.

A Great feel good movie

Beverley Norris from Leeds, England, 3rd June, 2004

This movie though long, is very enjoyable. At first you think that this film is going to be so predicatable, however with humour and clever script, this proves to be not the case.

A lovely love stroy with tradition of Indian values, meets the Western world.

I absolutley loved the fighting. It was so funny, as the gaps between connections made it so, more than the cowboy/westerns. The fight is almost like a dance and has to be watched.

The cinematography is wonderful. The opening up of the young adults lives is a joy to see, as they tour Europe. A great comedy, and drama.

Watching this film has made me want to buy the movie.

Indian equivalant of Mamma mia

lom4x from from Newcastle, 27th November, 2009

Not to be compared with Mamma Mia, but this is an Indiam speaking, all singing all dancing very colourful movie with a wonderful story line and a lovely ending. The music really is inspirational especially if you can appreciate such a wonderful culture. I rate this very highly and hope to watch a lot more similar movies.

Love SRK

dumbolives from , 20th November, 2009

I could watch anything with these two in it. I love SRK and he is his brilliant self in this too. So he isn't the best actor in the world. so what? He is still fantastic to watch on screen. I loved both halves of this film and I can only say that I thought the whole thing was perfect, end of story!
