That doyenne of the TV movie, Jaclyn Smith, here plays a wealthy woman whose idyllic marriage is shattered by a blackmail plot. Yes, we're in thriller territory, which means Smith gets to look harassed for the entire film while co-stars Ben Gazzara and Greg Evigan try to keep straight faces. It's too much like a soap opera to be taken seriously, and one can't help thinking that Smith's career peaked back in the seventies when she was one of Charlie's Angels.
