Sex and love. Some seek it, some need it, some spurn it and some pay for it, but we're all involved in it. Set on one afternoon on Hampstead Heath, London, the film investigates the minutiae of seven couples. The film is a comedic and erotically charged look at what makes us tick, and it seems that what makes us tick is complex, dark and ludicrously funny.

Incisive, witty and worthwhile..

PaulaWestwood from , 1st March, 2007

This was not at all what I expected, it is a witty, often laugh out loud, often cringeworthy film, that has some parts (if not all) that we can see in many of our own relationships and friends. I can see some reviewers were dissapointed by it not having 'sex' scenes or being artsy, it does not need the sex, and is close to real life rather than being in an way artsy. I didn't feel it to be at all like that. It was a charming fun poke at the vagaries of 'normal' relationships, and what it did, it did extremely well. It is one of those if you miss at the cinema, it is ideal to rent. I would put it on your rental list and give it a go.

Ignore the title ,it's a little misleading.

BooBooBear from , 13th March, 2007

This is a beautiful film, beautifully acted by the cream of the British crop of actors. It gives you the feeling of definitely being there on Hampstead Heath on a sunny afternoon. Loved the little twists to the end of each little story. Witty and sometimes a little sad. Would definitely recommend this to my friends. 5 stars as I would watch this again and again.

Laugh out loud funny

A Customer from London, England, 28th January, 2007

I was priviledged to see this film before its UK release. It made me laugh out loud and the interplay of the short stories leaves you wondering as to the backgorund and future of the characters long after the film has ended - does the husband meet up with the french girl again? Do the gay guys have a baby? What is the story of the call girl? A wonderful, intelligent and funny film with some fantastic cameo performances from the very cream of British talent.

Fascinating insight into some lives...

A Customer from Shropshire, England, 9th April, 2007

Not at all what i expected. This is a fascinating insight into a selection of peoples lives, loves and friendships - none of which are as you would expect! I found it fascinating and compelling viewing. It was refreshingly different.

Quirky and toching

A Customer from Dorchester, 13th February, 2010

This film spans over one day in a London Park: Hampstead Heath. 7 completely different couples enjoy the weather and talk about life. This might seem dull but it is not. There are some great actors and it is obvious that they enjoyed the script and doing the film. This is very much about people watching other people which can also be great. There are many touching scenes and I strongly recommend that you watch it.

Absolutely Splendid!

kittin517 from , 8th February, 2010

It took me a good quarter of an hour to really get into it but it's such a good idea with a great cast. Not at all what I thought it would be but in a good way.

Enjoyable - in an English way

TomBay78 from , 2nd December, 2009

This film looks at a number of couples on Hampstead Heath one sunny day - from the gays in the 'men only' section to the oldies sat on a bench reminiscing about 'the one who got away'. There are a few relationships that turn out to be not entirely what you might have expected - break ups, estranged couples, escorts and flirting. It's all executed at a very English pace though and in a 'oh how very amusing' way, which makes it a typically English film and neither laugh-out-loud funny nor deeply intellectual. Worth a watch with the missus.

Short Stores Galore

A Customer from Watford, 19th November, 2009

What an enjoyable film to watch. A low budget British film with brillaint casting. The couples, the blind dates, the opportunist trying his luck, very funny. What a clever film more please.
