trip down memory lane

I enjoyed watching this series again. There is a real attempt to show how the war impacted on individual lives from all spectrum of society, not just that of the Lacey's. I felt the show could have been more balanced towards Cromwell rather that being quite so pro-royalist. Costumes and locations are excellent, although some of the fight sequences rather poor and unconvincing.

Somerset review.

Thank God they made a second series. I dont think its quite as good as the first series, but i still didnt want it to end.
