This high-action flight movie centres on a team of three sexy stealth bomber pilots who are forced to fly with EDI (Extreme Deep Invader), a computer-manned prototype plane that specialises in extra-precision bombing. The brainchild of a Bill Gates-esque wunderkind (Richard Roxburgh), EDI has the ability to learn at a fantastic rate, talks like HAL from 2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY, and likes to listen to hard rock before going into combat. Before long, a freak accident causes it to question authority and launch an attack on Russia. W.D. Richter's script probes big issues involving man, machine, and the nuclear fate of the free world PLEASE NOTE: This is a BLU-RAY DVD - this disc may not play on your television. Please rent the standard DVD version if unsure. Thank you.

Not a car or plane lover but this...

A Customer from Lincs, 16th February, 2007

Movies that are all about the vehicle and nothing else... I find them soooo boring. Take the popular TopGun, I have yet to see what all the fuss was about. Now THIS, on the other hand... This is like something I wrote, stolen from my thaughts and made real with a budget. Awesome film. Well done. Not too shabby acting. Real decent watch

Oh dear...

...I can see why this movie slipped under the radar, so to speak. Terrible script, awful acting. Jamie Foxx does not suit the role of pilot and seems very much out of place. Perhaps they needed to meet their ethnic minority quota. Anyway, in brief the movies about 3 pilots who are flying super sonic space ship type planes and in addition to the crew they are given one more 'wing man' which happens to be an even more spacey plane that is operated by a super intelligent computer. Where this really fails is that the computer AI takes over and its starts disobeying orders, however the manner in which is does this is like a spoilt child who prefers to listen to rock music than give orders. What is that all about? Rediculous. 1 star becuase its pretty to look at.

Unrealistic 'yee-ha' tripe. However, the CG is surprisingly good.

If you have a spare Saturday afternoon...

Clue is in the title for this one. This is your average movie that probably replaces the likes of your Airwolf without the cool factor. It's one of those films you stick on, watch it in hi-def and think... that looks cool. There are some very nice bits of CGI but thats pretty much where it ends. I was quite dissappointed in this. The concept is good and with some better casting, screenplay and storyline it could have been something really good. This would be why it was a flop at the UK box office and went straight to DVD and bypassed cinema screening.
