Excellent reminder of early days of black and white TV drama. Shows a view of English Doctors, Nurses and Hospitals which makes you want to weep for the good old days before the standards and caring of the NHS collapsed....

A period piece

Gentle 50 sdrama set in a hospital about a new registrar who meets some opposition from his new colleagues especially with regard to a new piece of equipment he introduces. Nothing too realistic - in the opening scene a young boy is hit by a van which appears to be travelling at about 70 mph but on arrival at hospital he has no more than a sticking plaster over one eye! - and plenty of loose ends re the plot (as if another film was planned). Nostalgic and probably more for those over 50 and/or who remember the television series

i enjoyed the film very much as it brought back a memory of the series for me and the rest of the family most of the actor and actress are stiil going today wifred hyde white and rupert davies and may others it was very enjoyable and one of the best film i have seen in a long time
