If you rent this in the belief that it is all or even mostly about the Sino-Japanese conflict 1937-1945 you'll be sorely disappointed. The conflict itself is given only the most perfunctory treatment, and while, as promised, it talks about before and after the war, this is in no way an analysis of its causes and subsequent effects.
