The owner of an Italian delicatessen in New York struggles to pay off his gambling debts while the usual rogues' gallery of "regulars" circulates through his shop. An atmospheric "slice-of-life" neighborhood comedy.

For a supposed to be comedy ,the film was very long to take off... Additionally,it had a very bad sound quality!did not enjoy it at all.

Not something that you would think of renting, more something that you would stumble across. It's a pleasant enough film albeit the plot isn't particularly original: Johnny (the degenerate gambler) gets himself into debt with everyone from the local meat man to the local gangster and has a week to find the money to pay them all back. You will recognise several actors from Goodfellas including two of the main characters, Mike Starr and Frank Vincent and any fan of rap will recognise Ice T. All in all, worth a punt.
