Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) is an inmate on death-row for the killing of the brother of the Vice President of the United States, a murder he vows he did not commit but only his brother Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) believes him. Michael takes the extreme action of getting himself arrested. With the blueprints of the jail disguised in a tattoo that encompasses his body, Michael attempts to create a support network in prison that will allow his brother and himself to escape. Fellow prisoners looking to escape and willing to help Michael and his brother include ex mob boss Abruzzi, C-Note, Sucre and T-Bag. Despite having bonded with prison governor Pope (Stacey Keach), Michael has attracted the suspicions of the menacing Captain Bellick (Wade Williams). Meanwhile, on the outside the brothers' childhood friend and lawyer Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney) works to uncover the conspiracy that put Lincoln in jail. PRISON BREAK SEASON 1 PART 1 ended on the eve of the group's escape attempt with their plans beginning to disintegrate and the second part of the season details the result of the group's attempt to break free. PRISON BREAK first aired in 2005 and quickly became hugely successful around the world thanks to the tension filled, beat-the-clock storyline and cunning plot twists, making it an intriguing combination of the prison drama OZ and the real-time secret service drama 24. Features episodes 14-22 of the first season.

Loved it! A ludicrously far-fetched plot, more 'prison' stereotypes than you can shake a stick at and a ridiculously handsome lead character. What more do you need? This was fantastic TV, but on DVD it's even better, without endless ad breaks and waiting! It's gripping and hugely enjoyable - if you missed it on TV, watch it all in one go now!

Just gets better!

Sarah from Cornwall, 24th January, 2007

This is the best series I think I have ever watched, even beating 'Lost', which I thought i'd never say. It is absolutely, completely gripping, with lots of 'spanners in the works', twists, turns, humour, violence, suspense, love, everything that a good series needs. Genius!

Scintillating new addictive series

R Doal from London, 18th January, 2007

This is one of those series where you just get hooked and have to watch it....... I foolishly resisted it whilst it was on tv but this is so worth watching! Just give it a try ....you won't regret it. Its not too serious but has plenty of action and twists to keep you enthralled.

Prison Break, Season 1, Part 2

A Customer from Weymouth, 17th September, 2009

Most frustratingly, I never had a chance to keep up with this series on TV. The result is that I am at last making sense of the story of two brothers, one innocent of his crime of murder, but on death row, the other who deliberately commits a crime to be sent to the same prison. Determined to prove Lincoln's innocence, Michael at the same time is making plans to escape with his brother in order to avoid Lincoln's premature electrocution. Fraught with tension, this series is excellent. With plenty still to watch, I'm really looking forward to the balance of the eposides,
