We all have to begin somewhere...

Jason Hood from Birmingham, England, 12th February, 2004

Arnie's first ever film has had some pretty bad reviews over the years and yes, it's definitely of B-Movie quality when it comes to the plot, the strangely human looking bear that's escaped from the zoo and the ropey acting from the supporting cast. But if you're an Arnie fan, it's well worth seeing - the jokes are of course all about how big he is, and his natural charisma comes through despite his lack of acting experience; also, the legendarily bad overdubbing to give him an American accent is thankfully absent.

OK so it isn't Terminator, but it's no turkey either.

Oh my god!

Patrick from Greenock, Scotland, United Kingdom, 15th July, 2004

Well, I never expected to be Arnold Schwarzenegger to be a good actor, but this is more than ridiculous.
And he is not even the worst actor in the terrible movie.
I don't even know where to begin.
The story is more than stupid, the effects are cheap, even for the time the movie was made. For exaple is 'Hercules' fighting with an false bear. The bear is beginning to FISTFIGHT with Arnold the movie get's almost funny but Arnold is fighting back as if his life depends on it and then his girlfriend faints and this looks to bad acted... almost as if this would be a comedy. But it's not, they take it serious.
I could get on and on but the film is really not worth it.
The only reason I see to even consider renting or buying this movie is if you are a big Schwarzenegger fan. But even than you will be dissapointed.

So bad it's good

Frazer from England, 7th February, 2006

What an excellent film... Badly dubbed Arnie, a gorilla which is obviously a man in a suit (hired from the local (poor quality) fancy dress shop), and car horns sounding in the background of mount olympus! Worth watching for the number of groans. So bad it's funny.

dont bother

eagle230805 from Hampshire, 1st March, 2006

This is Arnold Shwartznegger's 1st film fresh from winning dozens of titles at the "Mr World", "Mr Universe" and "Mr Olympia" etc.

Apparently the ultimate prize for him though was to star as Hercules hence this movie.

Dont except anything dramatic if you do decide to watch it though, he comes across as just a huge not very intellegent hulk.

If i remember correctly this disk does have something on Shwartznegger winning some body building titles in the extra features.
