Not worth the wait... :(

Hayley Winnick from Leeds, 5th September, 2006

I'd actually waited about 10 years to see this film, having not being able to get hold of it, and unfortunately I have to say it was a HUGE disappointment, not remotely scary and only one decent display of acting! Also a little note, some people have been reviewing that they only see half the movie, there's no indication anywhere on the disc but you have to turn it over for the other half :)

THEY ALL FLOAT

Jacqueline Atkins from Ramsgate, England, 30th April, 2005

This is the most scariest film ever. If you are scared of clowns rent it and even if your not (it will probably make you scared of them). Its one of those films where its your deepest fear but you can't stop watching. Tim Curry is fantastic as Pennywise The Dancing Clown. It is the most terrafying thing ever to be put on film.

make sure that you turm the disc over

A Customer from manchester, 28th December, 2006

This film is three hours long and stops halfway. Make sure you turn the disc over i had never heard of this before and at first when i contacted tesco they informed me to order disc 2 to watch the second half -there is no disc 2 to order. But when i read the reviews they informed to turn over - not a bad film but tesco should leave instructions with the disc

Starts well...

A Customer from Southampton, 31st October, 2009

The main problem with this flm is that at 3 hours it is just too long. The first half is really good, draws you in and provides a few of the shocks you've been expecting but then in complete contrast the second half seems interminably and unecessarily drawn-out, with a climax that just doesn't fit with expectations.

After witnessing horrorfying going ons Bill decides IT should be killed, his friends Eddie, Stan, Bev, Richie, Mike & Haystack join form packed to destroy IT. After thinking its all over they make a promise if IT was to ever return they will all come back & finish the job for good! 30yrs later the gang get a phonecall from Mike reminding them of the promise they once made & it was time to go back home! Havin a older brother i first watched this movie when i was about 5 & it scared me half to death! Now nearly 20yrs on, being a big SK fan & readin all his work! Decided to read IT, hadnt seen the film in 20yrs so once i finished the book which is fantastic by the way i decided to watch the movie again! This doesnt come close to the novel, they've prob missed out more than half the book & messed up most parts they used which is understandable for the time when it was made, movies were less graphic! It was good for its time tho! They didnt have all the tec they do now, if they remade the movie now & stuck to what SK wrote it would be a brilliant movie! If ya are wantin to watch this movie then dont read the book first because ya will sit there (like i did) sayin 'nope that bits wrong'.... 'they've missed loads out there' ect lol! But if ya do watch it, read the novel afterwards and see what it should be like!

Old Horror

Chrissie31 from , 27th July, 2009

As far as old horror goes this film was jumpy, but because it is such a long film and not too much happens it's hard to stay interested. Im sure back in it's day it was scary but now a days this sort of horror is really just funny!
