Funniest Film of its type in years

andygilligan1234 from merseyside, 18th January, 2006

This is along the lines of 'Clerks', I guess. The story (if you can call it that) revolves around the staff of a Restaurant called Shenaninganz. The main character is played by likeable actor Ryan Reynolds from Van Wilder, and here he plays a similar role. Ryan has a way of making something funny sound even funnier such is his knack with delivery of one-liners. A new guy starts and its his job to show him the ropes. So we see all the goings on throughout this day, for instance, the "frontal nudity game the men play for kicks!" which is obscene but you imagine actually goes on in places like this! a decent supporting cast also, everyone doing a great job. This should be a cult classic, and is probably the most surprising comedy since Napoleon Dynamite. MUST SEE.

Normally like Ryan Reynolds films but this one was very slow & not very funny. Wouldn't really recommend.

Still Waiting

David Gunn from Wickford Essex, 16th November, 2006

I usually like these type of films and Ryan Reynolds is usually a funny guy but this film falls well short of being anywhere near cult status. Previous reviews and even some of the film's extra features suggested it was on the lines of Clerks but take it from me it is not. Most of the gags have been done before and although it is funny in parts there is no real chemistry between the actors. This film could have been very good as most of the cast are funny people but in my view it fails to deliver, having said that there are a lot worse films than this out there

Hilarious film

Angie from Halstead, Essex, 13th November, 2006

This was a great film, very funny with a bit of crudeness thrown in. If you want a film that has a silly storyline then pick this film, you won't be disappointed. A real laugh a minute film.

Waiting

Keeley Andrews from Wickford, Essex, 11th September, 2009

When this DVD turned up on my doorstep I couldn't even remember what it was about!! As I started to watch it I vaguely remembered Ryan Reynolds being why I had chosen it!! To be honest I was really not sure what to make of it!! All abit bizarre but for some reason I couldn't stop watching it!! It was a pretty dark type of comedy but strangely compelling!!

Just awful

Davidoff81 from , 7th September, 2009

Dull, unfunny, idiotic, no redemption, no laughs and no point. What the hell was Ryan thinking, post-Van Wylder? Possibly the worst comedy I think I've ever seen. Avoid at all costs. I've removed all renting privileges from my girlfriend who chose this terrible, terrible movie.
