The choices made by Robert Falcon Scott before and during his race across Antarctica are as much debated today as they were in that fateful year of 1912. The prize was the South Pole and the admiration of a nation. The story which unfolded was to propel Scott into the annals of history as a hero-adventurer... but it was also to claim his life. Featuring reconstructions, expert analysis, archive photography and comment from Sir Ranulph Fiennes, this DVD is an enthralling look at a man who was to become know simply as "Scott Of The Antarctic".

not very satisfactory

A Customer from Kent, England, 13th December, 2006

this is a very short documentary that barely touches Captain Scott's achievements in Antarctica. SIr Fiennes' commetns and the appearance of scientists from the Scott Polar Institute adds some credibility, but I was expecting some more original material and photos from the Discovery and Tera Nova expeditions and less of these sad recreations.
