Daxter PSP Game

A Customer from Grays, Essex, 25th May, 2006

If you have enjoyed the Jak and Daxter series of games on the PS2 then you will love this game.It is fast moving and has the best graphics I have seen on the PSP. It is great to hire these games as part of a rental package as it is always a let down to pay £30+ for a game and find out your don't like it.

Daxter For President

Aulis from , 29th June, 2008

I mean, who wouldn't want to see our little furry friend leading America? He'd probably do a better job than anybody now! Daxter is literally a joy to play. Ready at Dawn have taken the tried and tested formula from all their previous Jak games, and have ported it beautifully to the PSP. The lighting is superb, the soundtrack is right on cue, and the texturing is just....wow. Remember, this is the same studio that produced God Of War: Chains of Olympus, so if you've seen that, imagine Kratos with gorgeously rendered fur, and googly eyes. The gameplay is tuned just fine, between puzzle and platform, with Daxter's strange bug spray gradually getting more and more ludicrous with each upgrade. I just want to see a sequel.

Brilliant and wonderful

Aeryseer from Batley. England, 26th June, 2006

This games shows off the psp's capabilities brilliantly as the graphics are outstanding in their detail and smoothness. The story is very good too and shows us Daxter in a different light (though that might be because he is narrating the story). The game was great fun and I was sad to finish it, although game play lasted over 20 hours which is quite decent. I think this game doesn't let down the quality of the Jak and Daxter series one bit.

Do I care?

RugbyPete from , 18th March, 2009

No. I dont care for the plot, character, world he jumps around in, I dont care for the bosses, nor his goals. This game is super lame, unless you are stuck in prison with nothing else to do. Really, its just the same old rubbish different console, and a character I cant forgive (unlike mario!)

Great!

A Customer from Coventry, England, 10th September, 2007

As I was struggling to find a game to play on my PSP (many of them don't interest me!) I came upon Daxter, I wasn't a big fan of platformers as I have really had the patience for them, but instead I decided to try it out because of its high reviews. And I am glad I played this, it is one of the best games on the PSP! Starting with the gameplay, it has a great design and is classic platforming. The tasks offer a variety in different missions and I never really got bored with the levels as there was something different in each level. The difficulty level is just right and I never really felt that the levels were to hard and it after one or two attempts I managed to complete the level (Not about 50 times, unlike Mario!). Graphics wise, the game looks brilliant, some would mistake it for a PS2 game, they really are one of the best graphics for the PSP. As far as the sound goes the videos are great to watch and they are actually funny, so smaller kids will enjoy them as well. Overall, this is a great game and it is one of the best for the PSP, if you haven't played it and are looking for a game to rent or buy then try this out. It may not be to everyones taste but it is one of the games on the PSP and I have enjoyed it!
