Disc 2 Margaret,Victor and Mrs Warboys go on holiday to the Algarve with many hilarious events especially when Victor attracts the attention of lots of amorous donkeys. Delightful guest appearance from Peter Cooke whose comic genius is 'the icing on the cake' LOVED IT

Well done Victor.

A Customer from West Wales, 26th May, 2006

Wow does this man moan about things that are worth moaning about. He should be prime minister. This is awsome viewing and full of laughs as well.

we loved watching One Foot In The Grave with Victor and Margaret. The episodes are: The Pit and the Pendulum - Victor decides that Patrick's cherry tree is the cause of his garden being dry and enlists a Neanderthal gardener to cultivate the stray roots. However, only after an argument with the gardener does he learn that the pit could have a secondary use. Meanwhile, Margaret is stunned by tragic news. Descent into the Maelstrom - Margaret collapses from nervous exhaustion, which has been building up for the past 35 years. After a few days being looked after by Victor she decides to go back to work in order to get some peace and quiet. Andrea Temple (played by Helen Lederer), a lady Margaret knew as a girl, visits Margaret with a baby that has a mysterious fondness for garden gnomes. However, Victor uncovers the disturbing truth about her. Hearts of Darkness - The Meldrews, Mrs. Warboys, and Mr. Swainey take a trip into the countryside, but nothing seems to go according to plan and Mrs. Warboys ends up being concreted to Victor. While going for help, Victor stumbles upon an old people's home where the residents are being abused by the staff and hatches a plot for their liberation. The significance of the rabbit hutch at the end is a metaphor, displaying that the OAPs are free (the live rabbit) and the toy rabbit is locked inside the hutch (the staff members). Warm Champagne - After Victor returns from holiday with sunburnt feet, Margaret's annoyance at his grumbling (about that and other things) lures her into contemplating the possibility of having an affair with Ben, a holiday acquaintance. She meets him for drinks and finds another woman in her bed when she returns home. The Trial - Victor spends a day at home on his own while on call for jury service. He contemplates his various ailments, receives a letter from a disgruntled Jehovah's Witness, tackles a difficult crossword, and struggles to save himself from an account of Mrs Warboys' holiday in Cork. Secret of the Seven Sorcerers - The Meldrews invite Patrick and Pippa round for a friendly meal, but Patrick is distinctly worried about what horrors might befall them. Meanwhile, Victor has a new job as a lollipop man, and hoax calls from the fire brigade slow down his preparations for hosting the next meeting of his magicians' club. Well worth watching !

Incredible

How can you watch this and not laugh your socks off. Some of the antics are so funny they are unbelievable. Of course everyone knows about Mr Meldrew the crotchety pensioner, I live in a street full of them but they are not half as funny. I sat up to the early hours to watch every episode of this disc as I was HOOKED on it... I watched one episode twice where he gets into bed with the old lady , absolutely priceless. The script writer is a genius and has an eye for human behaviour.

Classic comedy!

A fantastic series, deftly written and beautifully performed. I love the surreal nature of this show and it defo deserves to be one of the best sitcoms of all time!
