Closely resembling Melville Shavelson's 1960 film, It Started in Naples, which starred Clark Gable and Sophia Loren, Praveen Nischol's competent romantic comedy provided Sonali Bendre with one of her first starring roles. She proves more than equal to the demands of her character (doting foster mother by day and exotic dancer by night), while Shah Rukh Khan is also convincing as the wealthy businessman who discovers that there are some things money can't buy.
