Amusing

A Customer from Beaconsfield, 1st February, 2006

This is an ok rom-comish girly film. I saw this and 'The Family Stone' at around the same time and I thought the later much better. But Kevin and Jennifer are good and it wasnt boring.. so a solid 3 stars

a great cast

laura berry from swansea, 7th August, 2006

At times you do worry where this film is going! But it all comes together in the end,so you need not worry! Jenifer Anniston plays Sarah a woman who lives in new york with her fiance(mark ruffalo),and she has to go back to her home town for her sister(Mena suvari) wedding, which she is anxious about as she feels that she doesn't fit in! She is feeling really lost and she doesn't know what to do! She loves her fiance but cant bring herself to marry him and her mother died when she was 9 and she cant seem to shake the feeling that theres a big family secret that affects her! So at her sisters wedding she has a heart to heart with granma(Shirley Maclaine) and its not long before the rumour is revealed that the film mrs robinson was actually based on a true book written about her family,so is granma infact mrs robinson and who is sarah's father, enter (kevin costner) does he have the answers well you will have to watch it to find out! This film is very funny in parts and is worth a watch

Ok

bluelena1972 from Greater Manchester, 26th June, 2006

I'm a bit of a fan of such movies when I need the feel good factor, so I thought it was ok.

Shirley MacLaine is really good and reminds me a bit of her character in "Steel Magnolia".

Jennifer Aniston is still a bit too much Rachael from Friends but I suppose it's hard not to think of her like that.
If you like things like 'Notting Hill' and 'When Harry Met Sally' (although far less good then those) than this is your type of movie.

A MUST SEE MOVIE

julie from solihull, 8th September, 2006

i enjoyed this film so much i watched it again straight after, jen aniston played a great part of a woman who had said yes to a marriage proposal, but whilst at the wedding of her younger sister she realised that the man she thought was her father may actually be a man her mother had had an affair with days before her wedding, she set off to find the truth and consequently had an affair with the very same man, played by kevin costner. a must see film.
