Just as good as I remembered

Will from Basingstoke, 26th April, 2004

I used to watch this as a kid 20 years ago !! - It has stood the test of time so well, the episodes were all shot giving a real feel of the English countryside - acting was superb - this is not surprising when you consider the quality of actors - Ray Winston etc - all in their early days.
There is also a superb 40 minute documentary on this disk with all the actors giving interviews of their memories of the series + 8 minutes of outtakes.
There are three 50 minute episodes on the disk as well, so overall you are looking at 4 hours of entertainment - highly recommended.

Great fun

An accurate retelling of Robin Hood? Of England at the time? Maybe not though I think they do OK, mostly. It matters not though: it is fantasy and great fun. Everyone looks as though they must have had such fun. I wish I'd been there!

Ahhhhh

A Customer from Lichfield, Staffordshire, England, 10th March, 2005

Brilliant. In a word. I could make comment about the costuming (which is not historically accurate...) but this is one of the few times that I can over-look such a short coming. This is history as it should have been. I'm enthralled as much now as when I first saw this series 20 years ago.
