hetty at her best.....

hetty wainthropp is a quality series from start to finish.the acting, especially from patricia routledge is superb. much of the action is set in the lancashire countryside and in the beautiful town of darwen. the plots are intricate and interesting and keep the viewer hooked. the series is set in a much gentler time, and hetty, her husband robert and sidekick geoffrey are very believeable. geoffrey is played by dominic monaghan (of lord of the rings fame). i recommended this series for those wanting to relax and enjoy high quality drama.

Hetty saves the day

Another good series of Hetty and her side kick.Her husband takes a more active role in this series.This is great, if action, swearing and thuggery not your thing as nothing will offend you.My kids think it's a bit tame for them but a satisfying bit of detective work. Give it a try.
