Wartime entertainment takes a new turn when Mrs Henderson decides to offer an all naked female dance troupe to bring some cheer in times of trouble. Based on true events at the Windmill Theatre in London's West End.

Judi Dench stunning

Judi Dench is stunning as Mrs Henderson in this delicious piece about the role of the Windmill Theatre during the Second World War. Bob Hoskins turns in yet another brilliant performance, and Will Young shows that singing is not his only talent

Excellent!!!!!!!

I wasn't expecting too much from this film, but it was absolutely excellent. The plot keeps you interested throughout, the acting is superb, with some very funny moments and the odd sad moment. If you like English films you'll love this!!!!

Mrs Henderson Presents

I watched this film on a cold May day with my two children aged 11 and 9.We all thoroughly enjoyed it and it gave my children a slight insight into what life could have been like throughout the war.Judi Dench, Bob Hoskins were outstanding and loveable characters. For Will Youngs first film we thought he was extremely good.Well worth watching.

suitable for ITV on a Sunday evening

Rather too cosy and deficient on historical detail and accuracy (jump into your Rolls-Royce and be driven to a Flanders war cemetery in a flash), and a bit of a vehicle for Judi Dench to do both her cute national-treasure shtick and say 'f%*k; but it's not ALL that bad all the same. Will Young's fairly good, and sings in moderately convincing period style. Lightweight entertainment, nothing more.
