On arriving in Brooklyn, Holly decides that enough is enough and conceives the perfect plan for the perfect man - an imaginary secret admirer who will romance Jean and boost her shaky self-esteem. When the virtual relationship takes off, Holly finds herself having to produce the suitor, borrowing her friend's charming and handsome Uncle Ben as the face behind the e-mails, notes and gifts. Meanwhile, a classmate who is a comic book artist falls for Holly, but in amongst her desperate measures to keep the ruse alive and protect her mom's new-found happiness, she fails to notice that love has found her instead of her mom.

superb.........

my 14 year old daughter Morwenna loved this film. Hilary duff and Heather locklear have such a rapport with each other, in this movie. Every time single mum Jean played by Heather Locklear breaks up with another boyfriend, the family of three move away. Holly Hamilton played by Hilary Duff is fed up with moving again and again, having to make new friends, and missing out on all of the fun things involved at school. So she thinks up a plan for her mums perfect man. She makes up an admirer for her mum, and even sends her mum flowers, presents and letters. She tries to make her mum happy again. She even takes a picture of her friends Uncle Ben, to make it seem more real. Her mum is so taken with this guy, she wants to meet him, and thats were Holly has a problem. mayhem ensues. well worth renting out.

Great Movie

A Customer from newbury, england, 31st August, 2005

I loved it! Its about the life of a teenage 'gypsy' who is used to moving around with her mum (heather Locklear) and little sister everytime, her mum falls out with her boyfriend... In the end Holly (Hilary Duff) gets fed up with moving around and decides to make up a 'Perfect Man' with the help of her friends uncle...But is the uncle the 'Perfect Man' after all??? Definately a film for teens!!
