Radio Times

TV stars Kirstie Alley (Cheers, Veronica's Closet) and Tim Allen (Home Improvement) star in this sitcom-style comedy about a continually bickering married couple who hide out in an Amish community after they discover the Inland Revenue Service are after them for unpaid taxes. While Witness capably compared our modern existence with that of the rural Amish, here their lifestyle is used for cheap-shot laughs as Allen and Alley don the costumes, leave their materialistic life behind and, of course, rekindle the love they lost while he was making money and she was getting manicures. Unfortunately, the theme of leaving the rich world behind to find yourself has been done better in everything from the classic Sullivan's Travels to the Goldie Hawn comedy Overboard. They were much funnier, too.

A heartwarming movie

Elizabeth McLaughlin from Northern Ireland, 12th February, 2006

This is a delightful movie about a rich married couple who have fallen out of love with each other and because of trouble with the IRS are forced to flee their materialistic lifestyle. They live amongst the Amish community where through their hardship they learn how to love each other again. For any Tim Allen fans this is a must!

Fun to watch

Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley have been playing charade for years everyone believes they're the perfect couple. That is until they decide one night to get divorced and the next day the IRS is after them. Long and short is they run away, they end up in amish country and try to pretend to be what they're not while the IRS hunt them down. Overacting at times by Tim Allen but when hasn't he and Kirstie at times just seemed bored with the whole thing but still for bit of entaintment for the night without having to think about things enjoy

cracking film...........

A Customer from North england, 1st March, 2006

This is somewhat of a hidden gem, it is quite a simple film and predictable in some areas but still a great film, im a big Tim allen fan from Home Improvement series on T.V. and its definately a good movie to watch, well worth a watch. But if your very into your hidden meaning films were you have to guess the hidden meaning all the way through then its definately not for you, you stick to yours we'll stick with our funny and unrealistic, 'escapism' movies.
