Radio Times

The idea of a sci-fi rock musical is camp enough but add Pia Zadora into the mix and the result? is a kitsch delight. The bonkers storyline finds an alien rock band arriving on Earth to learn about the roots of rock?n?roll and getting mixed up with a gang of tearaways. The hit-and-miss script is packed with groan-inducing puns and the songs aren?t up too much, but it neverthless exudes a cheesy charm. The eclectic cast? also includes Michael Jackson?s brother Jermaine and screen veteran Ruth Gordon.

Best Sci Fi Rock and Roll musical Ever

A Customer from London, 12th January, 2009

.. Apart from the Rocky Horror show, obviously, and arguably, Velvet Goldmine and probably a few others I can't think of right now. But it has everything you might possibly want in a movie. A spaceship in the shape of a guitar (a flying V, no less), Pia Zadora (who isn't very good, but has a fantastic name), really bad 80s synth pop, wonderfully awful clothes, a story that doesn't make sense, and even a brief flash of female breasts, just as an icing on the cake. Go on, rent it, you won't regret it.

Horrendous! But fun...

A Customer from England, 23rd November, 2005

This movie is probably among the worst ever made, but don't let that put you off. For your rental you get the chance to watch the stunning Pia Zadora sing and dance, some jawdroppingly horrible attempts at slapstick comedy, the best/worst 80's fashions, and you get to see Pia duet with Jermaine Jackson on their massive Euro #1 hit 'When The Rain Begins To Fall'. A real guilty pleasure!!!
