Lindsey (Drew Barrymore) is an ambitious business consultant, approaching "twenty-ten", whose spirit is as luminous as her beauty. High-school teacher Ben (Jimmy Fallon) is a good catch. He's charming, funny and great with kids, but has a small income. Sure, they have their differences. She's a workaholic; he loves his summers off, but when they first meet, and despite their differences, their attraction is immediate and true love overcomes all. Everything is wonderful, and Ben seems to be the man of her dreams, until Lindsey discovers what a 23 year long obsession with his favorite team really means. Together they must decide if they will strike out or fight to keep love alive

Great film to enjoy when you want to be left with the feel good factor.

Not too deep but great fun and you don't want to leave the tv screen.

If you like romance/comedy you will love this one.

BRILL FILM

Julie from Suffolk, 9th March, 2006

I've just watched this film and thought it was great. Very funny. Luckily I don't live with a sports fanatic but my sister does and this film is so true to life, how she has to deal with everything revolving around football (obvioulsy it's baseball in this film) but how moody he gets when they lose etc.etc. Great girly film, lots of laughs. Typical Drew Barrymore film but certainly one of her best. She's in alot of these kind of boy meets girl films (50 first dates with Adam Sandler, great film too). I definetly recommened for girls night in bottle of wine and some choccies.

Just a nice romantic comedy

Pinhead from Taplow, 15th March, 2006

This is the sort of romantic comedy that won't offend anybody and has enough laughs to keep you entertained. Don't expect the wit of High Fidelity or the weirdness of About a Boy, both also written by Nick Hornby. Both Fallon and Barrymore are very likeable in their roles and the switch from the original football to baseball is handled smoothly. Much better than recent romantic comedies such as Hitch and 13 Going On 30, this is good old fashioned inoffensive comedy with a touch of charm.

Better than expected

This is a film you could actually watch with your man as it gives an insight into a love triangle - you , him and his sport !! I really enjoyed this and anyone who's husband/boyfriend is a sport fan will laugh too.

Usual thing

Blueflash from , 19th August, 2009

Ultimately it was Drew Barrymore doing what she does best, that is being Drew Barrymore. Not the greatest film I have ever seen, there are plenty better.
