Radio Times

Actor/writer Peter Berg (acclaimed for his role in The Last Seduction) made his directorial debut with this very black comedy that's certainly not for the easily offended. Berg brings together a cool cast — Christian Slater, Jeremy Piven, Daniel Stern, Leland Orser, Jon Favreau — for a twisted and hilarious tale of mayhem that begins when bridegroom Favreau and his pals embark on a stag weekend in Las Vegas, before his marriage to the beautiful but ruthless Cameron Diaz. Their booze and drug-fuelled party goes awry, however, when an unfortunate accident leaves them with a dead stripper on their hands. Before long, friends are pitted against friends and the body count rises. This gruesome tale is propelled by a sharp script and topnotch performances, especially from Slater and Diaz, and those with a warped sense of humour should be enthralled.

You feel bad for laughing

Hazel Cottrell from Essex, England, 10th March, 2006

This film is great, an all time favourite of mine, absoloutley hilarious, in a way that you feel you shouldn't laugh but you just have to. My partner wasn't too keen on it, but when I watched it before it was recommended to me by a bloke and I said I didn't think it was my sort of thing, (me being the romantic comedy lover), but it was great. Although it isn't classed as a comedy, it really and truely is. The ending is the best ending of a film that I have ever ever seen, I'd watch the whole film again just for the ending. Although, you wouldn't of thought so from the type of film, it leaves you happy and smiling. FANTASTIC film, strongly recommend you rent it now. The only reason I've given it 4 stars is because my partner didn't enjoy it as much as 5, but I found it excellent! Rent it now, and I'm sure you won't regret it!

Very Bad Things

MasterLuke from , 20th December, 2009

Really good dark comedy - Jeremy Piven is excellent in this film with a real stand out performance. The script is fast paced and well written the only bad point for me was Christian Slater - I know its a good movie and I'm sure he received good praise for being a part of it....but this guy is such a 1 dimensional actor who really needs to go back to acting school......shame they didnt cast a stronger lead. Other than that....rent it guys 3/5

Why call an ambulance? She's dead!

Bassman71 from , 10th September, 2009

Man has stag do in Las Vegas, Bride not happy about his friends, sex & drugs & rock n roll, mishap in the bathroom, panic & mayhem. Very dark comedy that has some genuine funny moments & a very good cast to back it up. It's loud, brash & doesn't take itself too seriously & that works in & out of it's favour.

Funny

Vixen999 from from Coulsdon, 25th May, 2009

This is quite a shocking mix of comedy with a slight amount of gore. Has a couple of twists, and is really good to watch, very enjoyable!
