LETS GET THIS STRAIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL!

paddy from Swindonia, 13th October, 2005

Curb is a revolution in TV comedy.................... Larry David has a highly tuned comedy mind. He turns ordinary situations into comedy masterpeices. There is no script, only an outline for each episode for the actors to follow, this gives it a 'real' feeling as if it is a documentary, and means you don't get any fake reactions from the actors. The majority of the cast come from a stand up background therefore the timing is spot on and they feed off each other to great effect. Give this groundbreaking show a try! 3 further series are available on DVD (they get better and better) and the fifth is showing in America at the moment. Watch out for the colourful language.

Why watch friends when Curb Your Enthusiasm is on?

johnathan Joss from London, 20th October, 2005

Seriously. How many full episodes of friends can you remember? maybe because they don't really have a story just every minute jokes funny and unfunny being thrown at you continuously. Well Larry David brings you something different, 'Intelligent comedy'. Like watching your favourite soap with your favourite sitcom mixed. Making ordinary, everyday situations in hilarious comedy sketches. After the first series i was hooked, your just so curious what will happen to Larry david next. Outstanding comedy with loads of cameo roles from famous stars like, Ben Stiller, Alanis Morissette and even David Swimmer from friends (evens he wants in) and more. Certainly deserves 5 stars.

One of the best seasons of Curb

A Customer from St Helens, 27th January, 2009

Season 4 of Curb has to rank up there as the best with a brilliant main story to link every episode together. It contains some of the finest comedy moments of the show, from the moments with Ben Stiller to Larry's relationship with David Schwimmer's dad. This is as rich as the following seasons and as funny as the very first. If you haven't seen any Curb Your Enthusiasm then you must start with the first season. It may well be the funniest of the lot and it introduces you to all the important characters. Seinfeld was pretty enjoyable but this is on another planet alongside the greats of modern comedy e.g. Patridge, Fawlty, Brent, Peep Show.

get ready to cringe in embarassment!

A Customer from hornsey, 25th July, 2007

I've realised if you love any of the series you will love them all since the theme and direction is the same... much like the consistency in the Simpsons. Larry keeps on embarassing himself and sometimes you just want to hide. Good stuff.
