The unaccountably successful horror franchise limps on in this predictable retread. The last instalment saw the action relocated to Chicago, but this third sequel is set back in the familiar rural surroundings, where the children of a small town have been laid low with a mysterious illness that appears to be linked to a long-buried evil from the cornfields. Karen Black, overacting hysterically, is the only familiar face, while the effects are nothing to write home about. For completists only.
