A zoologist is sent to investigate the strange goings-on in the town of Gallup. The inhabitants of the town have recently been attacked by bats. As the doctor investigates further it becomes apparent that the bats have been genetically altered to make them vicious killers. Now daylight is the only time that is safe.....

In this by-the-numbers monster movie, genetically enhanced killer bats are released upon an unsuspecting Texas town by a mad genius, whose only defence is: I'm a scientist! That's what we do! As the bats wreak havoc, a perky zoologist, her cowardly sidekick and the town's sheriff fight desperately to fend off the flying menace. The bats could make effective villains in a better picture, but the lead characters never say or do anything remotely interesting. One might complain that the mad genius disappears too quickly, but he's pretty boring too. When will they learn to genetically enhance formula film-making?
