David A. Stewart (of the Eurythmics) makes his directing debut with this film starring three of the members of pop group All Saints, Nicole & Natalie Appleton and Melanie Blatt. They play the Chase sisters, a trio of gun toting Cockneys who dive into the criminal underworld, stealing from the rich while keeping it for themselves, and experimenting with sex and drugs. Set in a suitably candy colored, trippy version of England in the late 1960s, HONEST is a bizarre comedy that features at least one memorable chase sequence as well as one very long trip sequence in which the girls take an unexpected dose of hallucinogens after eating some suspicious cupcakes.

Re: Surprised!

DiamondGeezer from Bristol, 8th April, 2005

I actually only rented this movie to see if it was as bad as the critics said it was. It wasn't!

Nicole Appleton was more than capable of pulling off the lead role. Mel Blatt showed a natural talent for comedy, and should have been given more lines.

Don't get me wrong, it has it's flaws. Natalie Appleton's character seemed under-developed and more depth was needed with the storyline, but all in all I enjoyed this movie, and even laughed out loud a few times!

If you like the appleton sisters......

A Customer from Pwllheli,Wales, 20th January, 2005

Since i'm a guy then maybe my view of this film is a little biast, considering the appleton sisters are't shy 'bout taking their clothes off.On the other hand my wife thought it was a load of old dross(probably for the same reason i thought it was alright!!!) I often judge films on the basis of 'would i buy it?' Unfortunatley the answer in this case is no, strictly speaking it isn't a terrible film but at times the acting was a little wooden and dave stewarts direction left much to be desired. If your having a few beers or a bottle of wine one night then watch it, but if your expecting either an exciting or engaging film, then avoid it at all costs!!!!!

Rubbish

A Customer from Sussex, England, 15th October, 2006

This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. The fact that you get a quick glimpse of the Appleton sisters' breasts hardly makes up for the fact the story line and acting is awful.

Only worth watching for topless Appletons

Stewart Jordan from Essex, 27th January, 2006

An easy to follow story makes it watchable, although this film is let down by unconvincing acting. Only worth watching if you want to see the Appleton sisters topless. In summary, Nathalie has a great rack, whereas Nicole's are small and perky. There, so now you know. Better than Spiceworld though...
