A true Manga Classic

Wade75 from London, England, 6th February, 2007

This is a true Manga Classic and when you watch now it seems amazing that this a purely hand animated movie made over 10 years ago. The story is excellent and the fight scenes are beautifully executed. People often think of Akira when talking about Manga classics, but this is an equally wonderful film. I feel that the animated sex scenes are unecessary but Manga animatord will be Manga animators. So see this timeless animated classic and enjoy animation as it should be.

Trash Hentai

William Brown from Edinburgh, 24th July, 2008

Fine if you want animated porn. But why would anybody? Story ridiculous, artwork uninspired, ludicrous violence, characters have no depth - that's the better points. Some little boys will giggle and tell their friends all the gory details but those of us even remotely grown up are best giving it a wide bearth. Great anime is one of the finest things in the world. There has to be a bottom of the heap though and this is pretty near there.

Tosh...

A Customer from England, 18th October, 2007

I'd wanted to see this for about ten years, after I caught a few minutes on late night Sky before being shuffled off to bed. I'm a pretty big anime fan too, I love the entire Evangelion series and films like Princess Mononoke and even the Street Fighter 2 anime. So I was excited to see Ninja Scroll... What a disappointment. Ridiculously excessive violence, absurd leaps in logic and plot, and it's incredibly vulgar in terms of sex - I'm not a prude or anything but some of that stuff is sick. Not worth the time.

Bloody good fun

LeoB from , 17th August, 2009

Everything you need for a bit of escapism: blood, cool battles, martial arts. The only reason it didn't score higher was because I felt we were walking into the middle of a story rather and we had to quickly catch up rather than being slowly itroduced to it all. Also, some of the characters are drawn in a similar style and it's occasionally difficult to tell them apart! Overall, good stuff though.
