This sequel to the popular EC Comics parody once again brings an anthology of Stephen King's tales to the screen. In Old Chief Wood'nhead, a dime store Indian comes to life and exacts bloody retribution on those who murdered its owner; The Raft details four teenagers descent into terror as they are stranded in the middle of a lake patrolled by a carnivorous gelatin monster; The Hitchhiker tells the tale of a woman's fateful date with destiny after she runs down a nightime hitcher. As in the first film, all three tales are interconnected by the Creep, an undead host with a penchant for maniacal cackling.

Radio Times

Penny-dreadful in every respect, this three-part anthology is one of the worst vehicles off the Stephen King production line. A comic-crazed kid opens the latest issue of Creepshow and delves into tales concerning a murderous cigar store Indian, a killer oil slick and a zombie hitch-hiker. If the sight of four students menaced by a plastic bin liner doesn't reduce you to helpless laughter, then former glamour queen Dorothy Lamour acting more wooden than her Indian mannequin will. Scripted by George Romero with a distinct lack of originality, and directed by Michael Gornick with awesome predictability, this slapdash dud is devoid of any imagination and isn't redeemed by the animated inserts.

THANKS FOR THE RIDE LADY!

Mike Conyard from Gosport, Hampshire, 28th July, 2005

OK, so I'm being nostalgic, but I loved both of the CreepShow films... the second instalment is a bit short and the 'Chief Wooden Head' story is a bit lame, but 'The Raft' is good, and 'The Hitch-Hiker' is a classic.. that sucker just keeps coming back! Thanks for the ride lady!

Can I have a ride, lady?

A Customer from Swansea, 26th April, 2006

There are 3 stories (opposed to the orignal's 5), and they get better with every story. The Red indian Story is a bit week, The Raft is cool, and the Hitchhiker....wow!!!

Distinctly average

Creepshow 2 in no way compares to the classic original. The film consists of three stories, apparantly by Stephen King, although the script is actually written by George A. Romero, and although I recognised the adaptation of King's The Raft, I didn't recognise the other two stories. The first story, the one about the indian statue, is very slow and rather silly. The second story is an adaptation of 'The Raft', which is perhaps Stephen King's best ever short story. This adaptation is okay, and is by far the strongest of the three tales. The final story, 'The Hitch Hiker', starts off well but goes downhill very quickly. it's very bloody and gory, but is just downright silly.

More of a comedy than a horror.

Bezman from , 1st April, 2008

These stories are unlikely to genuinely scare, disturb or creep you out. Instead, be prepared for some silly, cheesy stories reveling in the stereotypical hangups and foibles of the genre. Characters are never explored. Entire plots can be foreseen well in advance. But it's all delivered with such enthusiasm that if you're prepared to sit down and turn your brain off, you'll have a few chuckles. In a sense, 'it's so bad it's good'. But on purpose.
